Software Engineer & Creator
I’m Sourav, a software engineer and independent creator. ElseSourav is my personal space for building, sharing, and exploring software, tools, applications, and ideas. I care about creating useful experiences that are thoughtfully designed, accessible, performant, and built with strong engineering fundamentals.
Rather than viewing software engineering through a single narrow framework, Sourav approaches programming as a medium for understanding systems from first principles. When exploring computer graphics, he writes canvas renderers and physics loops. When studying AI, he builds browser extensions with local WebAssembly models. When solving data management bottlenecks, he develops batch automation tools.
Every project in this portfolio represents an intentional exploration: exploring new paradigms, testing performance boundaries, and crafting tools that solve concrete real-world problems.
Organized conceptually by the engineering challenges and paradigms explored across different stages:
Core technical domains and capabilities explored through hands-on software experiments, benchmarks, and production systems.
The core principles guiding how software is designed, engineered, and maintained:
Client-side shipping label and invoice PDF cropper with dynamic text measurement.
Inspect projectPrint-ready invoice generation web utility with automatic GST calculations and custom branding.
Early exploration focused on mastering native browser APIs, client-side input validation, asynchronous state machines, and building tools with zero external dependencies.
Exploring real-time 60 FPS animation loops, physics constraints, particle dynamics, and cellular automata to understand computer graphics and procedural generation from first principles.
Stepping below high-level frameworks—compiling C++ to WebAssembly with Emscripten, implementing matrix mathematics for on-device neural networks, and writing embedded microcontroller firmware.
Shipping resilient end-to-end software tools: multi-seller e-commerce batch reconciliation engines, browser extensions, client-side photo editors, and local-first mobile applications.
Real-time animation loops, continuous collision detection, and arcade physics engines.
Client-side photo manipulation, non-destructive adjustment matrices, and pixel transformations.
Browser extension AI pipelines, on-device OCR, and matrix-based neural network implementations.
Batch data reconciliation, multi-seller SKU parsing, and institutional process automation.
Compiling low-level C++ architectures for native-speed execution in modern browser runtimes.
Procedural generation, cellular automata sandboxes, and mathematical physics simulations.
Cross-platform mobile applications with offline persistence and structured state management.
High-performance web applications with end-to-end type safety, accessible UI, and relational data.
